To apply through our UWC national committee, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Age requirement
Applicants must be between 15 and 17 years old al 1ro de septiembre del 2026. This is the general requirements, but specifics may vary for some UWC schools or colleges.
2. Educational background
- Applicants should have completed 10 grado de educación media al 1ro. de septiembre del 2026.
- Mantener un promedio mínimo de 4.2 en una escala de 1.0 a 5.0, o equivalente en cualquier otra escala. El programa debe estar avalado por MEDUCA.
3. Residency and nationality
Candidates applying through UWC Panama must:
- Be a citizen of Panama, and/or
- Hold permanent residency in Panama por los últimos 5 años y haber residido en Panamá durante dicho periodo.

4. Personal qualities and values
While academic excellence is important, UWC seeks students who exhibit:
- A strong commitment to UWC’s values, including intercultural understanding, mutual respect, and sustainability.
- A desire to make a positive impact in their communities.
- Madurez, tolerancia, proactividad e intereses fuera del ámbito escolar.
- Indicadores de resiliencia y adaptabilidad.
All of these are needed for an international and rigorous residential educational experience.
5. Language requirements
UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. However English fluency is not required at the time of application.
